Abstract

O artigo visa, em primeiro lugar, discutir qual a função das Nações Unidas no que se refere a construção da paz no cenário internacional, essencialmente tendo em conta o conceito de hegemonia. Em segundo lugar, a partir de uma perspectiva neogramsciana, pretende-se explorar de que forma o conceito de paz tem sido instrumentalizado por instituições internacionais, neste caso, as Nações Unidas. Em suma, procura-se uma releitura acerca da construção da paz, a partir de uma análise de sua operacionalização internacional conduzida pelas Nações Unidas.

Translated abstract

This article aims, firstly, to discuss the role played by the United Nations concerning the construction of international peace, bearing in mind the concept of hegemony. Secondly, it is indented to explore in which ways the concept of peace is instrumentalized by international institutions, that is, the United Nations. In sum, the main goal is to provide the reader a critical reading about the construction of peace in the international led by the United Nations peace operations.
