Resumen En un momento de importantes cambios para la educación, el edificio de la escuela se identifica como una herramienta eficaz para acompañar estas trasformaciones. Se propone identificar las necesidades actuales de los edificios escolares de Mendoza, definidas en base a las características del nuevo diseño curricular de educación primaria implantado y los criterios sanitarios asociados a la pandemia de COVID-19, y confrontarlas con experiencias destacadas de edificios escolares que vinculan pedagogía y arquitectura. De esta manera, se pretende plantear líneas de trabajo para la adecuación de la infraestructura escolar a los retos actuales de la enseñanza. El estudio de las posibilidades del edificio escolar se aborda desde distintas escalas: se atiende a las características de sus espacios y las relaciones entre ellos y, también, al vínculo de la escuela con su entorno urbano y el territorio.
Abstract Among the important current transformations in education, school building is identified as an effective means to achieve educational update. The proposal is to identify the present needs of Mendoza’s school buildings which are defined according to the new primary school curriculum design as well as health national guidelines for a COVID-19 pandemic context. These needs are addressed taking into account outstanding school building cases grounded on the relationship between pedagogy and architecture. Thus, this work poses courses of action leading to school building adjustments able to deal with present education challenges. School building is approached from different dimensions: space features and their interaction; the relationship between school, city and territory.
