          Abstract

          El objetivo de este trabajo es ofrecer una propuesta analítica que contribuya a explicar de manera integral el cambio institucional que se registra en las instituciones de educación superior de distinto régimen jurídico, como resultado de la articulación entre factores organizacionales endógenos y exógenos a las universidades. Se aborda la perspectiva intersectorial público-privada como parte de un análisis del cambio en el ámbito de la educación superior a partir de lo que la autora ha denomina denominado isomorfismo burocrático. El interés por una complementariedad analítica responde a que si se adoptan ambas perspectivas, la intersectorial y la organizacional, el cambio universitario quedaría explicado de manera más completa, de tal forma que es posible dar cuenta de que las universidades cambian a su ritmo y en función de su singularidad organizacional, dando lugar a tipos específicos de cambio universitario.

          Translated abstract

          The purpose of this article is to offer an analythical proposal which contributes to explain comprehensively the institucional changes within higher education institutions with different legal structures as a result of the articulation between internal and external organizational factors. The intersectorial public-private perspective is seen as a part of the analysis of change within higher education starting from what the author calls bureaucratic isomorphism. The interest towards an analytical complementarity responds to the fact that if both perspectives, the intersectorial and the organizational as well, are adopted, the change within universities could be explained in a more comprehensive way, and this would make possible to show how universities are changing at their own rythm and according to their organizational peculiarities, giving birth to specific types of university change.
